ATTENTION:
This is not an offer to sell franchises to the public.   That offer can not be made through the Internet; it may only be made through the Uniform Franchise Offering Circular (UFOC).

The Aircraft Wash Guys® is the ONLY Aircraft Cleaning and Washing Franchise in the World. If someone comes along later and creates one in the future disregard that statement.

The Aircraft Wash Guys franchise can be mobile and/or fixed based. You'll be in business for yourself and you'll be loving it. It's hard work, but extremely rewarding and best of all it's fun. You'll be paid by your customers and you'll enjoy the satisfaction when you see a customer's face light up when your finished with their Aircraft.

Make no mistake, washing and cleaning Aircraft is hard work. As anyone will tell you who works in the franchise sector, there are no silver bullets or guarantees in franchising or any business opportunity for that matter. There is no such thing as a get rich quick scheme. This one included, running a small business, any small business takes savvy and hard work.

We are not currently offering franchises to the public. Our focus is to set up company owned units across the US and eventually the world. This was made our official policy sometime in 2001.

Generally this business decision was made due to many following factors, some of which are listed below:

  • Sarbaines Oxley Law and Accounting Reporting Cost Increases,
  • Over Regulation in Franchising and Litigation,
  • Multiple State Franchise Registration Laws Out of Sync,
  • Disclosure Laws Hurting Company Proprietary Information,
  • Required Disclosures which Might Help International Terrorists,
  • Disclosure Laws which Require the Giving Out of Personal Information About Franchisees.
  • Litigiousness of Franchising and Absence of Tort Reforms in the US and Canada,
  • Higher Profit Margins for the Company Running Our Own Units,
  • More Efficiency to Corral Our Competition,
  • More Latitude to Take on New National Account Business,
  • Better Service Standards for Current and Future Car Wash Customers,
  • More Control of Business Model and Less Red Tape

We have chosen a new strategy along the lines of a Starbucks, Home Depot, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Federal Express type scenario where we can exert more control and less red tape to insure higher standards and smoother business operations. Regretfully this does impact the small business community, franchise model and those who dream of owning their own franchise business. Over regulation usually does hurt the little guys and stifle competition and creates barriers to entry.

If you would like to discuss how to set up your own business we are willing to assist you with information on how to get this done for yourself, but not as part of our team or a franchise. Hopefully in this way we can still help those who wish to fulfill their American Dream in a limited sense, while still pursuing our goals to clean up the world one car at a time. We can do this by referrals to vendors or through consulting fees.

You may use the form below to introduce yourself to us, disregard the franchise information, since we are no longer selling franchises. Perhaps it may be of interest from a historical perspective of how we were able to accelerate the company between the years of 1996 and Mid 2003, but we are no longer offering franchises, nor do we have any plans to do so in the future. We are focused on setting up our own units and keeping the profits for ourselves.

This offer of knowledge we are presently able to give is not available to current competitors of our system and we retain the right to refuse our knowledge to anyone for any reason.
ATTENTION:
This is not an offer to sell franchises to the public. That offer can not be made through the Internet; it may only be made through the Uniform Franchise Offering Circular (UFOC).

Any false contacts will be investigated.

This information below is still here for historical purposes, and it might be worth reading for you to think about, as you design perhaps your own aviation business, as a non-affiliated sole-proprietor. There are many ways for someone interested in aircraft washing to get into this business.

We have various options available for the aviation industry, we customize our franchise to meet the needs of different franchise buyers. Below are the options you may choose from:

Option # 1

Single Operator - Mobile unit

You would be a sole operator with a part time or full time employee as needed, your mobile unit to service one or more airports, airparks or military bases. You can run this business with a truck or trailer unit with water reclamation apparatus to meet EPA standards and NPDES (national pollution discharge elimination system) permits at the local airports in your area. Water reclamation devises run between $ 1,000 to 25,000 depending on circumstances. Trailer units run between $5,000 to $ 25,000. Truck mounted units run between $ 40,000 and $118,000 depending on the need for a lift unit to reach vertical stabilizers and tops of fuselages and wings. Franchise Fee is $10,000. Royalties are $ 300.00 per month per truck. Training will be done by a third party and you will need to present the certificate before commencing your business. You must do Aircraft Washing Fundraisers for the Civil Air Patrol, Junior ROTC, Boy Scouts Aviation Explorers occasionally or provide a small scholarship for a student pilot who will be attending Embry Riddle or is a member of Junior ROTC each year in addition to royalties.

Option # 2

Multi-unit, Multi-airport Franchise.

Mobile units and hangar based (at one or more of the outlets). Your hangar location will be for detailing. Leasing hangar space can be costly and you may want to check on this before proceeding. You may also have a truck or trailer unit with water reclamation unit. Water reclamation devises run between $ 1,000 to 25,000. Trailer units run between $5,000 to $ 25,000. Truck mounted units run between $ 40,000 and $118,000 depending on the need for a lift unit to reach vertical stabilizers and tops of fuselages and wings. You may start with mobile units and expand later with the intent and a time table to rent, lease or buy hangar space. You may also wish to use this business as a way to "right off" hangar costs with the IRS. We appreciate that tax adverse attitude, but must insist that you have a manager in your employ to wash the aircraft at the airport for customers and to run a legitimate business. We need to extend our brand name and that means service aircraft owners, FBOs and flying clubs must be serviced to build our reputation by word of mouth. Franchise Fee is $10,000. Royalties are $ 300.00 per month per truck and $ 200 per month per 10,000 square feet of hangar space used in the business. If you own an aircraft and join the Civil air Patrol you will receive $100.00 per month reduction in royalties. All royalty payments must be made by electronic deposit. Training will be done by a third party and you will need to present the certificate before commencing your business. You must do Aircraft Washing Fundraisers for the Civil Air Patrol, Junior ROTC, Boy Scouts Aviation Explorers or provide a small scholarship for a student pilot who will be attending Embry Riddle or is a member of Junior ROTC each year in addition to royalties.

Option # 3

FBO, Jet Center, Fractional Jet, Certified FAR Repair Station Co-brand.

You may use a portion of your hangar location for detailing. You may also have a truck or trailer unit. We will put your logos on the unit adjacent to our Aircraft Wash Guys logo. It would read I.e. "Eagles Flight Services-operating with The Aircraft Wash Guys System. The units will have to be equipped with a water reclamation system to meet EPA standards. You may start with mobile units and expand later with the intent and a time table to rent, lease or buy hangar space. Franchise Fee is $10,000. Royalties are $ 300.00 per month per truck and $ 200 per month per 10,000 square feet of hangar space used in the business. If you own an aircraft and join the Civil air Patrol and are a member of the Civil Air Patrol you will receive $100.00 per month reduction in royalties. All royalty payments must be made by electronic deposit. Training will be done by a third party and you will need to present the certificate before commencing your business. You must do Aircraft Washing Fundraisers for the Civil Air Patrol, Junior ROTC, Boy Scouts Aviation Explorers, EAA Young Eagles Program or provide a small scholarship for a student pilot who will be attending Embry Riddle or is a member of Junior ROTC each year in addition to royalties. If you need trailer financing from third party vendors and/or associates we have contacts.

Option # 4

Non-Profit Group Franchise

transportation day

Any aviation group helping kids, including Civil Air Patrol, EAA-Young Eagles Program, Boy Scouts Aviation Explorers or other group will be accepted providing the group has a senior member who can sign off on the Franchise Agreements. There will be a one time fee of $1800.00 to get set up and no royalties will be charged providing the monies earned go to kids learning to fly and other programs associated with Aerospace education, facilities of the group or group activities. You will need to purchase equipment. You may use our third party financing vendors. You may under special terms rent or lease out the unit when not in use to a bona fide aviation business or downsized airline industry employee to make money with provided they stay within the boundaries of services to be offered within your negotiated agreement with us. You will report to us the events you have so we may assist you with a web site to promote your efforts. The $1800.00 will be used in conjunction with the www.lancewinslow.org web site and future foundation to help kids of all walks of life. If you need trailer financing from third party vendors and/or associates.

Option # 5

Co-Brand with another WashGuys Franchise Module.

car washing and detailing

We also operate;

The Car Wash Guys. www.carwashguys.com
The Detail Guys. www.detailguys.com
The Truck Wash Guys. www.truckwashguy.com
The Oil Change Guys. www.oilchangeguys.com
The Concrete Wash Guys. www.concretewashguys.com

Co-Branding with this option can be incorporated with any other option above. We can customize your franchise to clean rent-a-cars, shuttle buses, ground equipment or fleets. Items such as scissors trucks, air cargo trucks, crew buses and air freight containers within the nearby Industrial parks, generally at the larger airports. Such potential customers might provide a good market mix in times of downturn in the aviation sector (keep your fingers crossed). Also there may be opportunity with concrete cleaning, cleaning of runways and other facilities on bid. Some airports are near bodies of open water and you can see a local marina. Much of the aviation crowd is also part of the boat crowd. There may be high end automobiles, which park in your parking lot or at the park and fly. Why not detail those vehicles too when you are not busy washing aircraft. Is there a golf course within the vicinity? Detailing cars for golfers who are a high percentage of your aviators my be a smart additional add on as well. If you own a Certified repair Station, maybe adding fleet mobile oil changes for nearby businesses? First of course you must notify us so we may design the mobile units for multiple uses, this may or may not increase the price of the unit. Sometimes there may be additional equipment needed.

Option # 6

Made to Order (Have it Your Way Franchise)

If we have to customize your franchise beyond what has been discussed here, we are willing to do this (once you have qualified), but we will need 5 days to modify franchise agreements and need a small non-refundable deposit of $ 400.00 . We would discuss with your our thoughts and negotiate with you a special plan, also works good with R & D projects, military operations or Institutional Uses. Professional Courtesy, secrecy and/or Non-disclosure are not a problem with our team. (not available in IL or other states where the right to free contract is not observed by bureaucrats and regulators)
